Anna Sanner, author, interpreter and translator of Japanese and English, will be reading from her memoir How to Become a Ninja in Japan<\/em> and taking the audience on a humorous, honest journey through the Land of the Rising Sun, the world of shadow warriors and the labyrinth of the heart. Books will be available for purchase, and there will be a book-signing session.<\/p>\n

Anna loves Japan. But does Japan love her back? Having spent years studying its language and culture, she now wants to fathom its heart and moves to Osaka.
\nYet, as a straightforward German, it\u2019s not at all easy to find the winding path behind its smiling mask. Her job as a teacher frustrates her, but her aikido training gives her a sense of stability.
\nWhilst visiting a museum village in Iga, an unexpected opportunity arises for her to undertake ninja training. At last, she feels she has come closer to the heart of Japan.
\nWithout a moment\u2019s hesitation, she throws herself into the adventure.
\nSoon, however, she realises that the path becomes more convoluted with every step.
