Ball Pen with Print
This ballpoint pen is printed with a section of a
traditional Japanese woodblock print from the collection of the Samurai Museum
Berlin. It shows actors in a Kabuki theater play. Kabuki theater is
particularly well known for its extravagant costumes and the intense facial
expressions of the actors. It was particularly popular during the peaceful Edo
period (1615-1868). Plays in which the heroic deeds of great samurai could be
admired were particularly popular.
