Worth the expérience. Kids friendly museum (6 yo and more), but super interesting for adults as well. Extremely well documentes. Beautiful art/war pieces all along... Do many explanations, if you do read half of them you ll need two hours. Thé historical perspective they give you with a pedagogical video at the beginning is worth being watched entirely. I d recommend spending at least ten min watching IT/listening to it.

Great experience. So many samurai armors and artefacts! Totally recommended. A little expensive, but the collection is very large and worth it. It’s interactive, you enjoy the holo shows and follow the fox. It was a little crowded on holidays.

I really enjoyed my time here at the Samurai Museum! I went in on a pure whim and I’m so glad I did.
The displays were incredible, with both English and German translations for information on the exhibit pieces. It was incredibly interactive and designed well, so it was easy to navigate. It’s clear that they’ve not only considered how to display the pieces in an interesting way, but also to keep tourists in mind who may want to visit and learn more about the Samurais of Japan. The depth of the information about each piece was impressive too.
For €17.50, I felt l got a great experience and would recommend this museum to others!
I would also like to thank the staff for being very friendly at the front desk and providing information about the lockers and their entry/exit system. Again, it’s clear they’ve considered every kind of visitor - tourist or not.

This museum is an absolute gem. We were simply fascinated. The items are of highest quality. Tons of interesting info available on interactive displays. Additional games corner. Great place for children! Definitely worth the visit! Buying online ticket with a time-slot seems to be cheaper than regular tickets on site.

The best museum in Berlin. Not very big, but has 2 video shows (drums and strange Japanese theater). There are some interactive things to do, almost every stand has interactive tablet with info in English and German. We went with 3y.o. children, it was difficult (as anywhere) but they liked it. But it is more interesting for older children, like 7+.

I have been to over 60 museums in different countries so far and this museum was a small but significantly beautiful museum. There are interactive displays in the museum and it is worth visiting. It is good for anyone, who is into the culture or just a newbie in learning the culture.

I visited the Samurai Museum, dedicated to the history of my home country, Japan.
With over 4000 pieces of armor and helmets, the exhibits were beautifully balanced and impressive.
The powerful depiction of horses and samurai in battle was overwhelming. Even as a Japanese person, I learned a great deal about traditional Japanese history.
It's a truly wonderful museum... I highly recommend it.

Amazing museum, with lots of interactive menus both in English and German. Young kids will love to see this huge collection of samurai armours and understand the history of Japan. Totally worth a visit.

A really great museum. Each item is a mirror to another era and time. Feels literally as if you are transferred to ancient times of Japan. Digitalised way of item explanations is a good idea. Movies about ninja and Japan theatre/drums are a perfect addition. I highly recommend!

In most of the museums there isn't enough information on the displays; just the name and date of the items. What I especially liked about Samurai Museum is that, there are interactive maps and information screens at each display. You can get a decent amount of information about the items, their significance in Japanese culture and in the period, you can watch videos of how they are used, etc.
Just brilliant! Whoever planned and curated this museum deserves an award. On the ground floor there's a stage and they play holographic videos of Japanese drum shows or short plays from historic Japanese theater and it really takes you away.

Techiest museum I've been to ever! Touch screen displays. Sensors active to project pathways and information. Unique experience and well curated. The souvenir shop has a wide selection you're going to find gifts for anyone there. Found a cool lego set my brother loved and there's so much more. For the museum displays themselves there's lots to learn and the artifacts are beautiful. Artwork at the end might have been my favorite. It's not a very large place I had maybe 1 1/2 to go through most of it but you won't be bored through it! I'd visit here again with a group.
